Minoan Taste was founded in 2016. We are an importer and distributor of Cretan speciality Greek food products. We cooperate with small, local producers who improvise and create fantastic products. Our selected products are produced naturally to a high standard of quality and are preservative free. Minoan Taste stands for purity, wellbeing and luxury.

Our Story

Our mission is to bring to you the best this beautiful Greek island has to offer. We seek great tasting, authentic products of exceptionally high quality that are not easily available and are not found in typical tourist shops or supermarkets.

The herbs are what we like to call our speciality. They are grown in our farm, in addition to our traditional fresh herb crops, for customers who are looking for something different. With these less common herbs, our clients are able to push the boundaries of food flavour and experiment with new ideas.

The name of our company comes from the ancient Minoans. There are many ancient Cretan Minoan foods that we still eat today! Up until 100 years ago the eating habits in Crete were almost identical to the ancient ones. The Cretan food and diet is considered to be the ideal diet which ensures good health.
