Our Story
Butlers Farmhouse Cheeses is a true family business based in the heart of rural Lancashire.
There is no escaping it, we are a family business, that’s what makes things exciting and these family values are the bedrock of our culture. Richard and Annie started it, Jean and Tom nurtured it. Gill and Colin opened it and the history page is just turning for Matthew and Daniel.
We are proud of our heritage, our location and our independent status. Our team and those involved come from all around the world and these ‘global’ ideas are what makes us interesting and forward thinking - we work collectively to hand make cheeses that are truly British (and very delicious).
